A Novel Automatic Water Autosampler Operated From UAVs for Determining Dissolved Trace Elements

Monitoring water systems under extreme conditions or in remote areas poses a risk to scientists and staff involved, can also result disturbances the local flora fauna. In order overcome these limitations, new techniques are being developed with aim gain more insight into how geochemical pathways of trace elements regulate functioning ocean. Here, we present first metals inorganic nutrients concentrations measured dissolved (<0.22 µm) surface samples collected Antarctic by using an Automatic Water Autosampler (AWA) system onboard unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The AWA has been used chemically quantify composition masses (lake coastal water) Deception Island (South Shetland Islands, Antarctica), with, for example, Pb values ranging from 0.01 0.25 nM seawater 1.20 2.11 lake water. results demonstrate effectiveness environmental studies that require sampling without sample contamination.
